Viewtube – March 6th

I had to go to the Viewtube today for an interview and once again I was struck by the huge number of visitors come to look at the Olympic Park. I still cannot really understand the overwhelming interest that brings something like 100,000 visitors a month to look over a fence at the Park. Still what an interesting place to show work to an audience that could not be more diverse in age, race and appreciation.

I overheard one conversation that really amused me. A group of elderly people looking at my installation of sitting in every seat in the stadium, one woman turned to her friend saying ‘look, the construction workers are so careful about everything they do, they even sit in every seat to make sure they are safe.’
